The Chicago Athenaeum Awards

The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies awarded Framework the American Architecture Award 2017. 

"Now in its 23rd year, The American Architecture Awards are the nation’s highest and most prestigious distinguished building awards program that honor new and cutting-edge design in the United States. This annual program, organized by both our institutions, also promotes American architecture and design to our public audience in the U.S. and abroad.

This year, the Museum received a record number of projects for new buildings, landscape architecture, and urban planning from the most important firms practicing in the U.S. and globally.

From a short list of 380 projects, the 2017 Jury for Awards was held in Athens, Greece, and 79 projects were selected by a distinguished group of Greek architects and educators. (...)

In July 2017, The Chicago Athenaeum, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies will present a special exhibition of all awarded buildings in, New American Architecture at Contemporary Space in Athens, Greece.

After Athens, the exhibition travels to Istanbul, Turkey under the auspices of the Turkish Chamber of Architects in January 2017."
